The city in the quotidian
Reflecting on how the city of Lima, Peru, expresses its identity through everyday life, this body of work draws on moments in which certain behaviours recur as patterns associated with customs and beliefs. Examples include a dog wearing a necklace of lemons or kept to guard a house, the conduct of some public transportation drivers, and a couple dancing as a symbol of festivity, all of which form part of daily life in Lima. Thus, we identify the city not only by its architecture but also through the individual and collective behaviours and actions of those who live and interact with each other
