Tricycle Peru
2021
This body of works seeks to reflect on how we arrived at the centennial celebration of independence in a pandemic context, where corruption has continued to expose its tentacles.
Through recurring metaphors and symbolic elements, such as the Vulture, the black and white palette eliminates the distraction of colour to heighten the drama. The works aim to emphasize how politicians act, profiting from the positions they have attained. In the tragic context of a pandemic, politicians have not abandoned their vices; on the contrary, they have sought to benefit from and exploit the tragedy of the population.
